Meteorite that hit home is older than Earth, scientists say

A meteorite, older than Earth, crashed into a Georgia home on June 26th. NASA confirmed the event, with numerous witnesses reporting a fireball and loud boom. University of Georgia researchers analyzed fragments, identifying it as a chondrite meteorite dating back 4.56 billion years – approximately 20 million years older than Earth. The meteorite, traveling at least 1 km/second, pierced a roof before breaking into smaller pieces.
