Trump administration doubles reward for arrest of Venezuela’s president to $50m

The Trump administration has doubled the reward for Nicolás Maduro's arrest to $50 million, accusing him of narcoterrorism and cocaine trafficking. Maduro was indicted in 2020 on these charges. The increased reward comes despite a recent prisoner exchange and the resumption of Chevron's oil drilling in Venezuela. The US claims to have seized over $700 million in assets linked to Maduro and 7 million tons of cocaine traced to him. Maduro's office has not yet responded.
