Thai and Cambodian officials meet in Malaysia after border clashes

Thai and Cambodian officials met in Malaysia for the first round of talks since a ceasefire ended five days of deadly border clashes. The talks, hosted in a neutral venue, aim to prevent further conflict. While the decades-long territorial dispute isn't on the agenda, discussions focused on details to avoid future clashes and finalizing an ASEAN monitoring team. Despite the truce, tensions remain, with both sides accusing each other of violating international humanitarian law and engaging in propaganda. Cambodia's King issued a decree authorizing former leader Hun Sen to advise on military matters, citing Thai aggression.
