A Russian Soyuz rocket successfully launched the Ionosfera-M 3 and 4 space weather satellites, along with an Iranian satellite and 18 cubesats, from the Vostochny Cosmodrome on July 25, 2025. The Ionosfera satellites will monitor space weather phenomena, expanding coverage of Earth's magnetosphere. The launch, streamed live by Roscosmos, included 17 Russian-built cubesats for remote sensing. The mission aims to enhance understanding of solar wind's impact on near-Earth space.
