Bread sold at Kroger and Walmart in a dozen states is under recall for ‘life-threatening’ problem

Hartford Bakery Inc. recalled approximately 883 units of its Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style half-loaf bread due to undeclared hazelnut contamination. The recall affects bread sold in 12 states, including Michigan and Illinois. The contamination resulted from a packaging error during a production changeover. The affected bread has lot codes T10 174010206 through T10 174020406 and an expiration date of 07/13/2025. Consumers are urged to return the product for a refund.
