J.M. Smucker Co. announced plans to remove artificial colors from its products by the end of 2027, including those sold to schools by 2026-2027. Many Smucker products are already dye-free, but some, including certain jams and Hostess brands, still contain them. This follows similar pledges from Nestle, Conagra, Kraft Heinz, and General Mills, amid increased government scrutiny of artificial food coloring and a recent ban on Red 3.
