Nvidia launched the GeForce RTX 5050 GPU for desktops and laptops. The desktop version, starting at $249, features 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and 2560 CUDA cores. Laptop versions, starting at $999, utilize 8GB GDDR7 VRAM and offer similar core counts, enabling slimmer designs. While Nvidia claims impressive performance with DLSS 4 and ray tracing, benchmarks are tied to a high-end AMD CPU and 1080p resolution. Desktop cards ship in July, while some laptops are available now.
