Wright State University pulled off a major upset, defeating top-seeded Vanderbilt 5-4 in the NCAA baseball tournament's regional round. This marks the first time since 1999 a No. 1 seed has been eliminated before the regional final. Vanderbilt's early exit marks their fourth consecutive regional round elimination. While Wright State's victory was historic, they subsequently lost to Louisville, ending their tournament run. Another upset saw No. 2 seed Texas eliminated by UTSA.
