Exercise, Diet, and New Drug Offer Hope in Colorectal Cancer Fight

Read, Watch or Listen

New research presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting reveals promising advancements in colorectal cancer treatment. Studies show that regular exercise significantly reduces recurrence risk (28% reduction) and improves survival rates, comparable to some cancer drugs. An anti-inflammatory diet, rich in vegetables and low in processed foods, also improves survival. Additionally, a new drug, Braftovi, combined with chemotherapy, doubled the survival time for patients with a specific mutation in an aggressive form of colorectal cancer.
