A US and Israel-backed aid group, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), has started distributing food in Gaza, bypassing the UN. The GHF, employing armed American security contractors, aims to deliver aid to one million Palestinians by week's end. However, the UN and other aid organizations strongly oppose the GHF's methods, citing violations of humanitarian principles and concerns about accessibility and potential weaponization of aid. They argue the GHF's system is exclusionary and contradicts established aid delivery practices. Hamas has also warned Palestinians against cooperating with the GHF.
