Scientists have discovered a new dwarf planet, 2017 OF201, at the edge of our solar system. This roughly 435-mile-diameter object has an extremely elongated orbit, taking 25,000 Earth years to circle the sun. Its unusual trajectory, discovered using archival telescope data, challenges existing theories about Planet Nine and suggests the possibility of many more undiscovered dwarf planets in the outer solar system.
