Harvard University barred from enrolling international students by Trump administration

The Trump administration revoked Harvard University's ability to enroll international students, citing the university's refusal to comply with requests for student conduct records and accusations of antisemitism and promoting pro-Hamas sympathies. Harvard, which has over 6,700 international students, condemned the action as unlawful and vowed to fight it. The White House defended the move, stating that enrolling foreign students is a privilege, not a right. Harvard faculty expressed concerns about the potential negative impact on the university and American academia.
