A Mexican Navy training ship, the Cuauhtémoc, collided with the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, injuring 19 people, four seriously. The ship's masts struck the bridge as it passed underneath, causing parts to fall onto the deck. The bridge sustained no damage, but the incident prompted emergency responses and road closures. The Mexican Navy is investigating the cause of the accident, which occurred during a goodwill visit.
