Hamas offered to release half of its remaining hostages and some bodies in exchange for a two-month ceasefire, conditional on aid resumption and US guarantees for negotiations. The offer also includes requests for family members of Hamas leadership to leave Gaza and assurances of no weapons pursuit after relinquishing Gaza control. This follows stalled negotiations and Hamas's disappointment with the lack of Israeli aid concessions after the release of an American hostage. Hamas doubts the US can pressure Israel to comply.
