Harvard Law Paid $27 for a Copy of Magna Carta. Surprise! It’s an Original.

A previously overlooked Magna Carta manuscript, purchased by Harvard Law School in 1946 for $27.50, has been identified as an original 1300 version. Two British academics made the discovery, revealing it to be one of only seven surviving originals from that era. The manuscript, initially thought to be a copy, is now recognized for its historical significance in establishing fundamental liberties.
