An Alaska Mother's Day tradition: Mingling with ice age survivors on a farm

Alaska's Musk Ox Farm in Palmer celebrates Mother's Day with free admission and daisies for all moms. The event, a 3-generation tradition, draws over 1,500 visitors to see the 75 musk oxen, including three newborn calves and a bull named Trebek. The farm, established in 1964, offers a unique opportunity to view these Ice Age survivors and learn about their history and conservation. This yearly event is the farm's busiest day and serves as a community thank you, welcoming donations to support its work.
