After 100 Years We Now Have a Video of a Living Colossal Squid: Watch Now

For the first time, scientists have filmed a colossal squid in its natural habitat. The Schmidt Ocean Institute's remotely operated vehicle, SuBastian, captured footage of a juvenile colossal squid near the South Sandwich Islands at a depth of 1968 feet. The nearly one-foot-long squid, with a transparent body and glowing eyes, displayed characteristic hooks on its tentacles. This rare observation provides valuable insights into the life of this elusive deep-sea creature, the heaviest invertebrate on Earth.
