The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced its 2025-2026 area leadership assignments on April 14th. The changes, effective August 1st, involve 24 administrative areas globally. Each area will have a new presidency comprised of a president and two counselors, primarily General Authority Seventies. These presidencies oversee local congregations and work under the direction of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and the Presidency of the Seventy. The assignments affect areas in the United States and internationally, with administrative offices located both in Salt Lake City and various international locations.
