Donald Trump called Bloomberg White House correspondent Catherine Lucey “piggy” during an Air Force One gaggle Friday, after she pressed him on the Jeffrey Epstein files and a likely House vote to release them. The slur drew fresh backlash Tuesday: CNN’s Jake Tapper and former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson called it disgusting, while Bloomberg defended its reporters. The IWMF said such appearance-based insults target women journalists. April Ryan condemned the remark and urged Lucey to persist. A White House official blamed the reporter, offering no evidence.

Intuit signed a multi-year deal worth more than $100 million with OpenAI to bring TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks and Mailchimp into ChatGPT and expand its use of OpenAI models. With user permission, the apps can tap personal financial data to answer questions and complete tasks, from estimating refunds to sending invoice reminders and reviewing credit cards, loans or mortgages. The move, part of a broader LLM push, raises reliability concerns for finance decisions. Intuit cites validation and domain data, keeps accuracy guarantees, but did not clarify liability for AI-driven errors. It also uses ChatGPT Enterprise internally.

Suisun City, a town of 30,000 in a neglected corner of the Bay Area, is facing another reinvention attempt: a proposal to annex 22,873 acres of agricultural land owned by California Forever, a developer backed by Silicon Valley billionaires. After decades of bouncing between insolvency threats and brief revitalizations, its 19th century downtown shows boarded brick facades and a redeveloped park where homeless people sleep. The plan envisions a new city built from the ground up on yellow hills dotted with sheep and wind turbines.

Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won’t need surgery after the injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s game, according to NFL Network, though the team has yet to issue a definitive diagnosis. The Steelers first labeled it a left hand issue before coach Mike Tomlin said it was his left wrist. Rodgers must be medically cleared to face the Bears on Sunday, but the early news appears good. If he can’t play, Mason Rudolph would start after playing well enough in the second half against the Bengals for Pittsburgh to build on its lead.

In a 33-16 Cowboys win Monday night, receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were benched for the opening offensive series. Coach Brian Schottenheimer called it a coach’s decision, saying "there were some things that were missed," without elaboration. Both later produced: Pickens 9 catches for 144 yards and a touchdown; Lamb 5 for 66 and a score. ESPN offered no details, and an in-game interview did not address it. The episode raised concerns about the NFL’s gambling relationship, urging advance disclosure of altered workloads to prevent misuse of inside information.

At a defense summit in Fort Wayne, Navy Secretary John Phelan said the shipbuilding industry must raise wages to attract and keep skilled workers, noting it is hard to lure people into welding in tight spaces when pay matches jobs at Buc-ee's or Amazon. He called competitive pay central to rebuilding expertise, alongside better conditions, training, automation, housing, and benefits. GAO reports show shipyards struggling to replace seasoned workers, a gap tied to delays and cost overruns. Huntington Ingalls Industries says investments in experienced hires and regional training are yielding early results, prompting cautious optimism.

Ten state election chiefs sent a letter Tuesday pressing Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for clarity on federal use of private voter data. Citing reports that the Justice Department shared voter files with Homeland Security, they asked whether the agencies misled officials and demanded answers on any sharing or receipt of voter information. The letter notes DOJ is compiling its largest set of voter roll data, tied to unsubstantiated claims by President Trump and allies, after states rebuffed requests and DOJ sued at least eight. It also cites DHS denials from official Heather Honey.

Google launched Gemini 3 on Tuesday, its latest and most advanced foundation model, now live in the Gemini app and AI search. A research-intensive Gemini 3 Deepthink will follow for Google AI Ultra subscribers after more safety testing. "Massive jump in reasoning," said product lead Tulsee Doshi, as the model scored 37.4 on Humanity's Last Exam, a new high, and topped LMArena. Google says the Gemini app reaches over 650 million monthly users, and 13 million developers have used the model. The company also debuted Antigravity, a multi pane coding interface blending chat, command line, and a browser.

Amazon has dropped Sony’s WH-CH520 wireless headphones to $38, down from $69, in an early Black Friday deal marking an all-time low. The budget model promises up to 50 hours of battery life, quick charging via USB-C, and clear, well-balanced sound. Through the Sony Headphones Connect app, listeners get EQ presets and firmware updates, while multipoint pairing simplifies switching between devices. A lightweight on-ear design with swiveling cups and soft pads aims for comfort over long sessions. At this price, they undercut pricier options by a wide margin.

On the verge of benching four weeks ago, Justin Fields is now officially sidelined: the Jets named Tyrod Taylor the starter for Sunday at the Ravens. Coach Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey are in evaluation mode after Fields’ sagging production and could elevate rookie Brady Cook to No. 2. The team is weighing offseason paths, from releasing or trading Fields to keeping him as a bridge, camp competitor, or backup behind a veteran. Cap implications vary, with the shift pointing toward a quarterback room reset.
