Woody Harrelson Rejects True Detective Reunion With Matthew McConaughey

Woody Harrelson dashed hopes for a True Detective Season 1 reunion, telling Today there’s “no chance” he’ll return alongside Matthew McConaughey as Rust Cohle and Marty Harty. While creator Nic Pizzolatto recently floated a character-driven idea and McConaughey said he’d consider it with the right script, Harrelson said revisiting the story could “tarnish” what they “nailed” in 2014. He added he loves how the season turned out and prefers to leave it untouched while promoting his new film, Now You See Me Now You Don’t.
