UK police charged 32-year-old Anthony Williams with 10 counts of attempted murder after a stabbing rampage on a Doncaster to London train that wounded 11, and with a further attempted murder at London’s Pontoon Dock earlier the same day. Officers say the attack was not terror related; a second man was released without charge. Williams, from Peterborough, appeared in court and was remanded to 1 December. A rail worker who intervened is in critical but stable condition. Williams was arrested after an emergency stop in Huntingdon, within eight minutes of the first emergency calls. Security patrols were increased.
