The U.S. carried out another strike on an alleged drug vessel Tuesday night on the Pacific side of South America, killing two to three people, officials said. It was the eighth boat hit since Sept. 2; the previous seven were in the Caribbean. At least 34 people have died in the series, drawing scrutiny in Congress. Sen. Mark Kelly said officials struggled to justify the legality and cited a secret list of cartels. The Pentagon has not responded to questions about the victims' nationalities. Survivors from a recent Caribbean attack were repatriated to Ecuador and Colombia.
