Russia launched 705 missiles and drones across Ukraine overnight, Ukraine’s air force said, striking civilian sites and energy facilities from Kyiv to regions spanning the southeast to the Polish border. The barrage—653 drones and 52 missiles—was the second-largest of the war; 592 drones and 31 missiles were intercepted, while 16 missiles and 63 drones hit 20 locations. At least four people were killed, including two in a Zaporizhzhia residential building strike that injured tens, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, urging tougher sanctions. Russia’s Defense Ministry said it downed at least 173 Ukrainian drones, including six headed toward Moscow.
