Mamdani marches to City Hall before Election

On the eve of Election Day, Zohran Mamdani marched across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall, flanked by elected allies and a crowd chanting 'Tax the Rich.' Casting himself as a trailblazing candidate with momentum among young, working-class and immigrant voters, he urged a break from what he called Mayor Eric Adams’s 'small ideas and scandal.' In a seven-minute speech, he pledged affordability and better transit, vowed to fight President Trump’s agenda, and criticized rival Andrew M. Cuomo after Trump endorsed him on 60 Minutes. Letitia James joined him as he decried a 'grave political darkness.'
