London police investigating report Prince Andrew asked officer to dig up "dirt" on Virginia Giuffre

London's Metropolitan Police say they are actively looking into a report that Prince Andrew asked a bodyguard in 2011 to dig up damaging information on Virginia Giuffre using her birth date and social security number. It's unclear if the officer complied; her family says she had no criminal record. The report landed as Buckingham Palace announced Andrew would relinquish the Duke of York and other honors after emails showed longer contact with Jeffrey Epstein. He denies the accusations. Giuffre's family called the move vindication and urged Charles to strip him of the title of prince. He remains a prince.
