Philadelphia police find human remains in search for missing woman

Philadelphia police said they found human remains in a shallow grave behind an abandoned school while searching for 23-year-old nursing home worker Kada Scott, missing for about two weeks. Deputy Commissioner John Stanford said the remains appear to be a woman’s and that confirmation awaits the medical examiner. An anonymous tip led officers back to the area, previously searched. The case has stirred questions about the justice system as 21-year-old Keon King, charged with kidnapping and stalking in Scott’s disappearance, is being held on $2.5 million bail pending a preliminary hearing.
