Pregnant British teenager Bella May Culley was freed from a Georgian prison Monday after a plea deal. Arrested in May at Tbilisi Airport and accused of attempting to smuggle 12 kilograms of marijuana and 2 kilograms of hashish, she was found guilty and sentenced to five months and 25 days, time already served, while her family paid a 500,000 lari fine. Prosecutors dropped plans for a two-year term, citing her confession, age and condition. Culley and her mother wept as the verdict was read. Her lawyer said she will get her passport back and can leave Georgia.
