Trump endorses Andrew Cuomo on eve of New York mayoral election: 'You really have no choice'

President Donald Trump on Monday endorsed former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a lifelong Democrat running as an independent for mayor, urging voters not to back Republican Curtis Sliwa, which he called a vote for Zohran Mamdani. In a 60 Minutes interview, Trump renewed a threat to withhold federal funds if Mamdani wins and reaffirmed his preference for Cuomo. Mamdani mocked Cuomo on social media, using Trump's remarks as ammunition. Cuomo has previously said he would not accept a Trump endorsement. Neither campaign responded immediately. Cuomo has described past clashes with Trump as "bloody battles".
