Irish singer-songwriter and Oscar-winning musician Glen Hansard has died at 56 after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near Dublin. The accident occurred early Wednesday on the R109 near Strawberry Beds in Lucan, on the outskirts of the capital. Emergency services were called shortly before 4:30 a.m. local time, but Hansard was pronounced dead at the scene.
