WASHINGTON — Federal authorities disrupted an alleged plot to attack President Donald Trump’s UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House South Lawn over the weekend, according to court papers unsealed Tuesday. Investigators say participants discussed using explosive-laden drones against the north side of the White House, then shooting people as they fled. The group allegedly examined escape routes, safe houses, aerial imagery, and detailed local maps. Encrypted TikTok and Signal messages involving about 20 people were reviewed. Five suspects from Ohio, California, Missouri, and Nebraska were arrested on federal charges, and high‑powered firearms were seized, the Justice Department said.
