This week, crews cleared displaced metal culverts after record monsoon rainfall of about 1.35 inches on Sunday night, June 14, while county commissioners on June 15 outlined fireworks sales from June 24 through midnight July 5 and reviewed KBDI fire-index data. On June 16, El Paso Water and the U.S. Army Corps, joined by Rep. Veronica Escobar and county officials, launched the Clardy Fox pump upgrades and began the design phase of a flood-forecasting and warning system to improve regional flood control.
