Lincoln, Neb. — Nebraska will host an NCAA Baseball Regional beginning Friday, May 29, after being named one of the 16 opening-round sites in the 64-team tournament; the full bracket and seedings were released Monday at 11:00 a.m. CT. Head coach Will Bolt’s team finished the regular season with a strong home record and high win total. The Cornhuskers, seeded No.13 at 42-15, open the Lincoln Regional on Friday against South Dakota State at 3:00 p.m. CT on ESPN+; Arizona State and Ole Miss occupy the other half of the regional. The regional winner will advance to face the victor of the Auburn Regional as postseason play continues through early June.

If you're a Nebraska baseball fan, this is big. The Cornhuskers are hosting a regional tournament. They've had a strong season and are seeded No.13. The first game is against South Dakota State. It's on ESPN+ at 3:00 p.m. CT this Friday.
Nebraska's strong season has earned them a spot in the NCAA Baseball Regional. If they win, they'll face the Auburn Regional winner. So, mark your calendar for the games. And maybe send this to a fellow Cornhusker fan who'd love to cheer them on.
The University of Nebraska athletics program, local Lincoln businesses, broadcasters and the Husker fanbase benefited from hosting the regional through ticket revenue, increased media exposure, and local economic activity tied to postseason attendance and coverage.
Visiting teams and institutions that were not selected to host lost potential home-game advantages and local revenue opportunities; some smaller vendors outside Lincoln may see limited benefit compared with the host city's businesses.
