Warriors assistant coach Chris DeMarco has emerged as a serious contender for the Liberty head coaching job, multiple sources told The Post on Tuesday. He joins a pool of finalists that includes former Nets assistant Will Weaver, Raptors assistant Jama Mahlalela and Mercury associate head coach Kristi Toliver. DeMarco, 40, is a four-time NBA champion assistant with more than a decade of coaching experience at the NBA and international levels. He has spent 14 years with the Warriors, rising from video coordinator to Steve Kerr’s staff.
