StubHub shares plunge after first IPO results

Read, Watch or Listen

StubHub shares plunged 20% in extended trading after the ticket vendor posted its first results since its September IPO. The company reported a $4.27 loss per share and $468.1 million in revenue, topping estimates, while a $1.33 billion net loss reflected a one-time $1.4 billion stock-based compensation charge tied to the listing. CEO Eric Baker gave no current-quarter guidance, saying the timing of when tickets go on sale is hard to predict, and said a 2026 outlook will come with fourth-quarter results. Third-quarter revenue rose 8% as gross merchandise sales increased 11%.
