States resume full SNAP after court rulings

SNAP benefits began reappearing for some Americans after a federal judge ordered the government to restart the program by Friday. The Trump administration said it is sending states money to fully fund payments even as it appeals the ruling, asking the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene after an appeals court refused a halt. California, Oregon, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Connecticut announced full benefits, and some recipients found funds on their EBT cards. Amid the shutdown, a partial-payment plan drew rebuke from the judge, while an anti-hunger group praised the end of the delay.
