Six former men’s college basketball players from New Orleans, Mississippi Valley State and Arizona State took part in betting schemes, NCAA said. New Orleans’ Cedquavious Hunter, Dyquavian Short and Jamond Vincent manipulated their performance in seven games, allegedly trying to lose by more than the spread. Mississippi Valley State’s Donovan Sanders and Alvin Stredic were offered money to throw a Jan. 6 game, and Sanders discussed throwing a contest against Tulsa. Former Arizona State forward BJ Freeman shared information with a former teammate who bet on his performance at a daily fantasy site. All six had eligibility permanently revoked.
