At home in Seattle, Eugenio Suárez crushed a go-ahead grand slam after Cal Raleigh’s tying shot, capping a five-run eighth that lifted the Mariners over the Blue Jays 6-2 and into a 3-2 American League Championship Series lead. Suárez also homered in the second for Seattle’s first run. It was the series’ first home win and put the franchise, which began play in 1977, one victory from its first World Series trip. Game 6 is Sunday night in Toronto.
