Citing the Immigration and Nationality Act, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce sued the Trump administration Thursday over a new $100,000 annual fee for H-1B visas, calling it unlawful and cost-prohibitive for employers. The Chamber argues the charge overrides the law’s cost-based fee rules and would price out startups and small and midsize firms that depend on global talent.
