Politico released 2,900 pages of leaked Telegram chats from Young Republican leaders filled with racist slurs, antisemitic lines including "I love hitler," and jokes about violence. The Young Republican National Federation urged those involved to resign as Democrats and many Republicans condemned the messages; New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called them "so vile," and Hakeem Jeffries criticized GOP figures linked to the group. Fallout followed: New York aide Peter Giunta was fired; Kansas deactivated its Young Republicans and vice-chair William Hendrix lost his job; others departed roles. Vice-president JD Vance called a Democrat's separate text "way worse."
