A former Uber driver, Jonathan Rinderknecht, has been arrested and charged in connection with the destructive Palisades Fire in Los Angeles. Authorities allege Rinderknecht "maliciously" set the blaze on New Year's Day, which investigators believe was a continuation of a "holdover" fire. The fire, which claimed a dozen lives and caused widespread destruction, was fully contained on January 31st. Rinderknecht was apprehended in Florida on charges of destruction of property by means of fire.
