The union asserted that creativity must remain human-centered and opposes replacing human performers with synthetics. They stated Tilly is a computer program trained on uncompensated work and argued it jeopardizes performers' livelihoods and devalues human artistry. Despite creator Van der Velden viewing AI as a tool, many Hollywood stars like Melissa Barrera and Emily Blunt expressed fear and disapproval.
