Polish ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel has achieved a historic feat, becoming the first person to ski down Mount Everest from its summit to base camp without supplemental oxygen. The 37-year-old accomplished this daring descent on Monday, navigating the perilous "death zone." This marks Bargiel's successful attempt after two previous tries in 2019 and 2022. He is also renowned for being the first to ski down K2, another extremely challenging peak.
