A wild brawl erupted in the first inning of a Rockies-Giants game. Giants' Rafael Devers hit a home run, and Rockies' pitcher Kyle Freeland took offense to his celebratory trot. Words were exchanged, benches cleared, and shoving ensued. Freeland, along with Giants players Matt Chapman and Willy Adames, were ejected. Devers maintained his actions were normal, while Freeland called them disrespectful. The game continued after a brief but intense interruption.
