Scientists unearthed the remains of *Spicomellus*, a dinosaur from Morocco, revealing surprising details. This four-legged herbivore, about the size of a small car, possessed three-foot-long neck spikes, bony body armor, and a tail club. Unlike any known animal, its ribs featured fused, outward-projecting spikes. Researchers believe this elaborate armor served both for attracting mates and deterring rivals, changing our understanding of ankylosaur evolution and highlighting the significance of African dinosaur discoveries.
