A brilliant fireball meteor illuminated the skies over southern Japan on August 19, 2025, around 11:08 PM. Visible from Kagoshima and Kumamoto to even Osaka, the meteor produced green-blue flashes before breaking apart near the horizon. Footage captured on various cameras shows its dramatic descent. While the Perseid meteor shower is active, it's unclear if this event is related or a sporadic meteor.
