Sony is raising the price of its PlayStation 5 consoles in the US by $50 across all models, effective August 21st. The increase follows similar price hikes by Microsoft and Nintendo. The PS5 Digital Edition will cost $500, the standard PS5 $550, and the PS5 Pro $750. Sony cites challenging economic conditions as the reason for the increase, stating that game and accessory prices remain unchanged.
