Leaked images suggest that at least some iPhone 17 Pro models will retain physical SIM card trays in certain countries, contradicting previous reports of a global SIM tray removal. While the US already uses eSIM technology exclusively in iPhones, Apple may not eliminate physical SIMs entirely in other regions, particularly China. The iPhone 17 Air, however, is expected to be SIM tray-less globally due to its thin design. Apple previously touted eSIM security and convenience, listing compatible carriers worldwide.
