'Weapons' $18 Million Opening Day, 'Freakier Friday' in Second

Warner Bros.' "Weapons" debuted at the top of the box office with $18.2 million, exceeding expectations. The R-rated horror film, directed by Zach Cregger, boasts an ensemble cast and strong reviews. Disney's "Freakier Friday" opened in second place with $12.7 million, also exceeding projections. Other films in the top five included "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," "The Bad Guys 2," and "The Naked Gun." Angel Studios' "Sketch" also saw a new release.
