The Boston Celtics traded forward Georges Niang and two second-round picks to the Utah Jazz in exchange for rookie guard RJ Luis Jr. This move significantly reduced the Celtics' luxury tax bill, dropping it from $73.1 million to $30.4 million. Boston then signed Chris Boucher to a one-year, $3.3 million deal.
