The crash killed a pedestrian and injured another when a Tesla Model S, using Autopilot, failed to brake at an intersection. Tesla claims the driver was at fault and plans to appeal. Plaintiffs' attorneys accused Tesla and Elon Musk of misrepresenting Autopilot's capabilities and using "self-driving hype" at the expense of human lives. Tesla's stock dipped following the verdict.
